Dr. Walter Milton, Jr.
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Walter Milton, Jr. is a native of Rochester, New York. He earned a B.A. from the University of Albany and an M.S. from SUNY College at Brockport. He took postgraduate courses at the University of Rochester to receive his administrative certifications, including his superintendent’s license. Dr. Milton has also taught at several universities across the United States. He holds a Doctorate degree in leadership and policy from the University of Buffalo. He is also a published author of Me in the Making – One Man’s Journey to Becoming a School Superintendent, (2008) and Why Black Men Must Save Black Boys in America’s Public Schools (2014). He served as a school superintendent for twelve years, in the states of New York, Michigan, and Illinois. Dr. Milton is currently CEO of From the Heart International Educational Services.
Lisa Petros, MBA
Vice President of Finance
Ms. Petros attended Loyola University in New Orleans, LA where she majored in Marketing and Management. She received an MBA from Fontbonne University, Lisa was very active in community service, joined a business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi and became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; in the Fall of 1989. Ms. Petros really loves DST! Lisa has worked at prestigious organizations including Darcy Masius Benton & Bowles, Southwestern Bell, Junior Achievement (JA), and Louis Partners AmeriCorps, a domestic version of the Peace Corps.
Lisa served as the Director of Education at Mathews Dickey Boys and Girls Club.
Ms. Petros is a loving wife and mother of four beautiful children. She is also the
proud CEO of One-L Group, which is a new, innovative publishing firm, which offers opportunities in the realm of consultation around organizational development, financial management and professional editing.
Sheridan Labbè, MBA
Executive Director of Marketing & Technology
Houston native, Sheridan Labbè, is a multi-faceted marketing professional. Ms. Labbe is graduate of Sam Houston State University where she obtained her B.B.A. in Marketing with a minor in Business Communications. She later went on to receive her MBA from the University of Houston-Downtown. A member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Ms. Labbè is passionate about philanthropy and holistic self-development, with an emphasis on helping young teens and adults actualize their goals through learning, sefl-improvenment and self-awareness.
When Ms. Labbè is not mentoring youth, she can be found helping small brands and businesses kickstart their businesses.
Director of Operations
Tim, a graduate of Tennessee State University, has been a dedicated facilitator/trainer with From The Heart for more than five years, working most specifically with the Positive Living: Promoting Your Purpose and Mothers and Men Advocating for Love and Effectiveness initiatives. Tim truly embodies the vision of FTH’s CEO, serving all students, educators, and administrators from the heart. Tim is a favorite of districts around the country because of his ability to develop relationships with students, teachers, and parents, making (positive) measurable differences in every school FTH serves.
Dr. Marge Williams
Dr. Marjorie (Marj) Williams has more the 40 years of experience in the field of Education. Williams serves as a team member for From The Heart International, providing intensive training, program facilitation, and educational management services from a culturally competent context. She currently serves on various Community and Civic Boards throughout the country. She has received notable recognitions throughout the country, most recently being named by Ingram’s Magazine as “One of the 50 People You Need To Know In The State of Missouri”, Williams is Co-Founder of the Sisters’ Circle GKC, which promotes Philanthropy among African American Women supporting the African American Community. Additionally, Dr. Marj is a founding member of Societas Docta, Incorporated GKC. Their mission is to provide assistance by mentoring and providing scholarships to African American Women pursuing Doctorate Degrees.
Dr. Marj can be heard on the “PTK (Parents, Teachers, Kids) Report with Dr. Marj” weekly on KPRT 1590am/106.1fm. Additionally, she can be seen on the “Dr. Marj Show” and “On That Note with Mike, India and Dr. Marj” on the Internet and via Facebook.
Dr. Theodore J. Haig
Dr. Theodore Haig received a BA from Providence College, an M.Ed. from Rhode Island College, an Ed. D. from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, an honorary doctorate from Upsala College, and a Law degree from the University of Florida College of Law. Dr. Haig is experienced in both the United States and the State of Qatar in the international educational community. He is an established literary writer, published novelist, screenwriter, and play-writer.
Dr. Haig also has 11 years of experience as a superintendent of tow inner-city school districts. He has also served as deputy superintendent, director of personnel, director of secondary schools operations, director of neutral site planning, PreK-12 principal, assistant principal, and mathematics teacher, international education consultant and director of independent schools for the Supreme Education Council in the State of Qatar, managing partner with the American Consortium Center for Training (ACCT), and AMIDEAST (NGO) representative in the State of Qatar.
Vanessa Noble, M.Ed.
Vanessa Noble is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University. She has been an educator in the Winston- Salem Forsyth County Schools for more than 20 years. She has experience in both elementary and secondary school levels, where she taught English Language Arts Social Studies. and Reading Enrichment. Mrs. Noble is currently pursuing a masters degree in Curriculum Education.
Shamieka Heyward is from Greensboro, NC and is currently working towards a Master’s in Social Work. She worked as an educator in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school district and realized that students needed more than direct instruction in order to be successful both in and out of the classroom. Shamieka is passionate about youth and is dedicated to building positive relationships with them in order to serve as a role model in their lives.

Caroline Ross, M.Ed.
Caroline is committed to transforming educators and preparing leaders to be the best they can be for their K-12 students. With more than 30 years of experience, Caroline is an award-winning secondary principal, adjunct professor, and educational consultant. Adept at assessing educational needs, generating options and implementing solutions in collaboration with all stakeholders, she facilitates professional learning communities and provides workshops and training on topics such as creating a positive classroom culture, lesson planning, and content-specific teaching practices, relationship building, time and task management, organization and general preparation. Caroline has experience working with diverse populations of traditional and nontraditional students in urban settings and she is widely known for restructuring struggling schools and organizational systems. Caroline is also fluent in Spanish.

Norma Hedgepeth has a bachelors degree in Recreational Therapy From East Carolina University, Greenville, NC and a Masters of Business Degree from Cambridge College in Chesapeake Virginia. Norma served as a North Carolina state employee for more than 27 years. She is a contributing author in an amazing book, Truth Be Told, Narratives From The Souls Of Black Women. Norma enjoys traveling while working with From The Heart as an Educational Consultant/Sales Director.
As an operations guru, Brian Sanders has served several organizations in senior management capacities. He has received education from Nashville State Community College and Tennessee State University. He enjoys helping From The Heart clients understand and articulate their organizational goals and coordinate their efforts toward becoming productive, efficient, and competitive school districts. Mr. Sanders captures much of the images and footage used to help market FTH as well as train consultants. He also enjoys serving trainers and coaches to efficiently use the technology available to them.

Wilma “Char” & Sam McNabb are the parents of NFL great and Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb. Wilma & Sam are also the founders of McNabb Consulting Network, LLC (MCN), they feel blessed to have experienced over 40 years of life and sports parenting by seeing both of their sons participate in several sports and at various levels of athletics. McNabb Consulting Network, LLC. (MCN) was created in 2013 to provide a service to assist the parents of athletes at all levels to understand their roles in their athletic endeavors.
Linda & Leonard Shanklin

Linda and Leonard Shanklin are the parents of National Basketball Association all-star, Golden State Warrior, Andre Iguodala. As parents of athletic children, they understood the importance of being "good men" and good students and began consulting student-athletes and their parents around the country.
Dr. Jewell Winn
Director, FTH Foundation
Dr. Jewell Green Winn has over thirty years of experience in education and serves Tennessee State University as Senior International Officer, Executive Director for International Programs, Deputy Chief Diversity Officer and Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership. Dr. Winn completed the Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Middle Tennessee State University, Masters of Public Administration and Doctorate of Education degrees at Tennessee State University. She is a member of several professional and social organizations such as the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education, Women in Higher Education in Tennessee, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is a graduate of Leadership Nashville, the Maxine Smith Fellows Program, the Millennium Leadership Institute and the American Council on Education’s Spectrum Executive Leadership Program. She is the Executive Director of From the Heart International Education Foundation.
